Indian Corn III

All I can say is I never get tired of looking at indian corn. The deep colors and textures are amazing. I keep bundles of corn similar to this hanging here and there indoors all year round. In the fall it is fun to visit "pick your own" farms and walk the fields , to peel back the plain husks looking for that perfectly colored corn. I tried very hard to do justice to this extraordinarily beautiful symbol of bounty. This is the third "Indian Corn" that I have inked. It won a honorable mention ribbon at the Cecil County (MD) Art Alliance's juried show September 2004

The original is sold but limited edition, signed and numbered prints are available for purchase. Small Print - sized to fit matted inside a 11" x 14" frame $ 45.00

Dixon's Cornfield

I just love the way the wild Morning Glories crawl their way up the corn plants turning their faces towards the sun. This corn was planted on the property of the Dixon Family, and so the picture is named for them. Thank you for letting me sketch in your fields xo
